Forge of empires vikings settlement changes10/25/2023 ![]() I am building clan houses atm, but they're not going to have saved any time really (I'm using my excess copper stash to run less shrines while building them - not really planning to build more goods buildings after they're completed though). I expect I'll be done in about a day with a day and a half to spare. I need about 90 more axes, 30 more mead, and 60 more wool (horns finished). I did use some diamonds, but then i didn't collect for like 3 days in a row in the middle because i was ill and not feeling like it mattered. Towards the end you should be making at least 120 goods a day (can always change goods buildings to the types you need). Make it different. You've got plenty of time left. They both have to stay while we work on the third and so on. Instead, require the first offering, whatever it is, to stay while we work on the second. The Egyptians ask for our help in producing suitable offerings to appease them. Perhaps, the Egyptian gods are angry and feeling neglected. Since it's just a puzzle, maybe it could be presented as such. I really, really hope the Egyptian settlements aren't just a re-skin of this. I can't imagine I'll ever describe it as fun but I wasn't expecting to. ![]() So far, I am finding the settlement less frustrating part of that comes from not paying any attention to the timed rewards and part from not thinking that I'm building a settlement. The Mead Hall is just one of the hoops we have to jump through in order to "solve" the puzzle. Inno describes it in those terms but it's really a puzzle with some superficial elements of settlement building. Very little makes sense as we're NOT building a settlement. One big problem (which led to a lot of frustration) with my first settlement was that I was looking for things to make sense.
